Hello and welcome to the official website of romance author Becky Lower. I’m so glad you’ve stopped by.
The Cotillion was and still is a formal ball for debutantes—young ladies from aristocratic or upper-class families--who have reached the age of maturity and are presented to society. The Cotillion was a young lady’s first introduction to eligible bachelors and their families. The concept of the Cotillion was introduced to affluent New Yorkers in 1854 and by the following year was “de rigueur” for all fashionable young ladies. The Cotillion Ball Series follows the lives of the nine Fitzpatrick children as they deal with coming of age in the tumultuous years leading up to and including the Civil War in America.
Travel back in time with me to a period when America was young, raw and exciting. And so were the men and women who shaped this country.
If history’s not your thing, you’ll be pleased to know I now have a line of contemporary books. Blame It On The Brontes was released in May, 2013. It features three sisters, each in her forties, who are forced, by the terms of their mother’s will, to move back home and live under the same roof for one year in order to inherit. It’s a move that will pit sister against sister. But their mother’s final act may be what they need to find the love for each other they once had.
The Road To Comfort has also been picked up by Soul Mate, and was released March 10, 2014. Single mother, Juliette St. James is celebrating her son’s wedding by taking an impetuous road trip. Her car breaks down in Tornado Alley and she is rescued by the local mechanic, Cyclone Kelley, who is a former bull rider.
Voice Of An Angel is a romantic suspense, which was released in April, 2014 by Books To Go Now. It features Evelyn Hammer, a woman running from her past, and Max Bainbridge, a reporter with a nose for a good story. Sparks fly when they meet, but only if Evelyn can acknowledge her past can she have a future.
